Will the at-fault party’s insurance company treat you fairly? Probably not.

It’s very likely that you will be offered a settlement that is far, far less than you deserve — much lower than what could be achieved by our team at The Swanson Law Group. We believe you deserve better, and we are ready to take on the insurance company without compromise.

We provide medical care and fight for your future

All lawyers are not created equal. At The Swanson Law Group, you are more than a client. If you need medical care, we can help you get treatment from our network of physicians and specialists, even if you don’t have health insurance. We are caring, supportive, empathetic, service-oriented, and health-conscious for our clients. We take care of you, and we take down the insurance companies.

Do you know what to do after a car accident?

After a car accident, it’s incredibly important to take the following steps:

Call 911.

Call 911 for the police and emergency services. If you or another person is injured, do what you can to stop any bleeding. If it appears a back or spine injury has occurred, do not move the victim unless it’s necessary to save a life. You may believe that you are uninjured and don’t need the police, but you do. Some deadly or very painful injuries show up later. Don’t take chances with your health. Call the police immediately.

Gather data.

Exchange insurance information. If you are able, take photographs of the vehicles in the accident, skid marks on the highway, and any other details.

If there are witnesses to the collision, collect their names, phone numbers, and addresses.

Don’t admit fault.

It’s normal for people to feel guilty, even when they’re not. Don’t admit fault, say that you’re fine, or say that you don’t need medical care. When a car accident happens, your body releases adrenaline, which suppresses pain. When the adrenaline wears off, pain turns on. It is very common to have the pain from an accident appear a day or two after a collision.

Get a full medical assessment.

Whether you’re in severe pain, need to be transported by ambulance, or you believe your injuries are minor, you need to undergo a medical assessment of your condition. Let the physician know (whether it’s your own doctor or you’re at the ER) that you were in a vehicle accident so the information is noted on your medical records.

We understand the suffering of illness and injury

As a person with Parkinson’s disease, our founder, attorney Ben Swanson, has turned his experience into a superpower. His condition has allowed him to relate deeply to those in pain who have suffered an illness or injury, and he understands the power and beauty of health in a positive life journey.

Every member of his hand-selected team of lawyers is compassionate and supportive — but when it comes to the insurance company, they are unrelenting.

We take a different approach

There are many lawyers who are good at rounding up clients, sending them to chiropractic treatment and then making the clients accept whatever amount the insurance companies offer. These lawyers have no idea the true value of their client’s injuries, what it feels like to lose your health, and what it takes to get it back. We are trial lawyers who love holding insurance companies accountable in court if they don’t make a fair settlement offer. We are relentless in the quest for justice and full compensation for the people we serve.
